Arrgghh – am I fed up with Inbox.com and Rebate Advisor. These two apps and toolbars seem to be popping up all over the place at the moment.
I suspect they are being installed with a common download as they are so prevalent, but at the moment I’m not sure when or how. Be on the lookout for them and if offered them remember to decline.
The good news is that both can be removed using the standard Windows uninstaller.
Annoying but easily remedied.
For those who do not know where the standard uninstaller is:
- Click on the Start/Windows button at the bottom left
- Click on Control Panel
- Click Add/Remove programs (XP) or Uninstall a program (Win 7)
- Your PC will now check and list all installed programmes (it may take a few minutes)
- Click on the program you want to remove and then click uninstall.
I would also recommend running Malware Bytes after removal of Inbox.com and Rebate advisor. You can download this from www.malwarebytes.org
