Occasionally there is a need to move an email that you have deleted back into your inbox, or another folder.
Recently I cam across a problem where after deleting an email, an action which places it in the Deleted folder, you could neither recover it with an Undo action nor move it out of the folder back into the Inbox.
The fix proved fairly straight forward and was addressed using Office Repair.
* Open the Control Panel – Programs
* Click on Programs and Features
* Click Uninstall a program
Don’t worry we’re not going to uninstall anything
* Now locate your copy of MS Office
* Right Click on it
* Left Click Change
After a short delay you will see an Office Window
* Click in the Repair Box
* Click on Continue
Office will now carry out some tests and will repair anything that it finds amiss. Be patient, it sometimes takes a little time (15 minutes or so).
When complete you will be prompted to reboot the system.
Although I have had limited success with this feature in the past, in this case the automated repair process fixed the problem and I was able to move emails from my Deleted folder once again.
