There are quite a few blog posts on this one but also a lot of mis-information out there, I’ve even seen one forum that suggests the EZCAP is incompatible with Windows 7 and that the ‘missing audio’ issue cannot be fixed, this is incorrect.
The actual fix is to change the default audio driver device that is associated with the EZCAP USB sound.
To start install the EZCAP driver and software from the disk supplied with the unit.
Test your device and select to use the USB audio device.
If the video works but the audio doesn’t then you will probably need to do the following…
2. Click on Device Manager
Right click on it and select Update Driver Software
Select Browse My Computer for driver software
Click on USB Audio device instead of USB EMP Audio device.
All being well you should now find the audio works.
Note: Not sure if this is the same with Vista and Windows 8. I suspect it is but I haven’t tested it.
