Change default Search from Delta to Google or other search provider (Internet Explorer)

I’m seeing a lot of browsers that have been ‘switched’ to Delta Search without the agreement of the user. This is so annoying and highly unethical but also typical of internet services these days.

To change the default search provider:

Open Internet Explorer

Click on the Options Cog

Click on Manage Add-ons

Click on Search Providers

You will now see a list of search providers. The one used by default will have Default to the right

Click on Google (or the search provider of your choice)

At the bottom right click on Set as default

Click Close

Internet Explorer will use the default search provider when it re-opens.

To select a different search provider temporarily (for a one off search)

Click on the small arrow next to the magnifying class at the top of the browser

At the bottom of the next window you will see the search provider options
In the example above Google – AVG – Bing – Delta

Click on the Google icon – or the service provider you want to use

The browser will now use this search provider for your current session but will return to the default provider when restarted.

Hope this helps
