The most common issue I see in the field these days is corruption and/or hijacking of a user’s internet browser. I probably handle two or three queries a week via telephone for this issue.
The fix for this is pretty easy and involves re-setting the browser to the default settings, removing any add-ons that have ‘crow-barred’ their way onto the system. Unfortunately the process to do this varies for each browser. This one is for Internet Explorer.
Reset Internet Explorer
Choose Your Home Page
When rebooted you will find that your home page in Internet explorer has been changed to MSN. To change this back to your chosen home page open Internet Options again (as above)
Delete the MSN home page that will be showing and enter your required home page url in full (INCLUDING HTTP://)
Close the browser and re-open it. You should now have your chosen home page as the default.
